sandretta ancaster, on cda The Message I was filling my gas tank at the Shell Service station in my neighbourhood in Ancaster, ON on a cloudy/rainy Friday afternoon. The pump I was using was closest to the road: Golf Links. You were on the other side. You asked me "did anyone tell you today you have great hair?" and I responded, "NO! can you believe it?"; we both chuckled. You came back around to my pump and told me that men should really compliment women more. You continued to look at me and then said, "Someone who looks like me shouldn't be talking to someone so beautiful." All I could think was that your piercing blue eyes were beautiful, and that you looked so kind and honest. You were beside yourself that you were all painted and dusty from work, and I told you how that showed me that you were a hardworking person. You said goodbye shortly thereafter, looking at me again, telling me I was an extremely beautiful woman. I watched you get into your faded red pick up truck with a work logo on it that spelled out RENOVATIONS in upper case letters. I wish I had taken a picture of it now!! I wish I had said, we should do this again sometime. As you left the gas station, turning right out onto Golflinks Road, you continued to look back - I continued to watch you drive away until I couldn't see you anymore. Would love to meet up again!
