MissT New Delhi The Message I sat across a tall man, in a dark brown full sleeves tee and grey sweatpants at the Bangalore airport on 9th August 2024 for a 2 15pm flight. We were both waiting to board our Indigo flight from gate 30 to Delhi. What caught my eye was that he was wearing a mask, not as common post pandemic. I was reading a ebook on my phone and occasionally would look up to see if boarding has started. I’d often catch his eye. Anyhow, when it finally did start we were the last to get in line, he stood right behind me in the queue and right before entering the aircraft he asked if I’m from Delhi. We barely got two words out, I brought up his mask which may have seemed intrusive but I only meant to be curious. He was seated at 5D and quickly arrived there and wished me a good flight. I thought I’d have a chance to catch him when we land in Delhi but terminal 2 was absolute chaos and missed seeing him. Maybe there’s no point to this message except that I would have like to get to know him more. Hope you weren’t caught up in the rains and reached okay. I wish I’d asked for your name!
