Newport, Shropshire During a short rest with my family on our hike up Causey Pike, resting at the base of Sail (the winding S shaped path) you came Walking down from the summit of Causey Pike towards and past us. I looked at you and couldn’t avert my gaze, we shared a knowing smile as you passed by with your dog - a chocolate brown Cocker Spaniel (we had with us a small Tibetan Terrier and both dogs quickly said their hello) You then went on up the winding path of Sail, breaking into a run and I couldn’t help but be amazed at how incredibly fit and athletic you were. I was torn between chasing you - catching up with you to compliment your performance whilst hoping to talk - and staying with the rest of the group. I went on at a fast pace to catch up and managed to just reach you as you’d created Sail. However, at this point you’d already started down towards Grassmoor and by then I had to turn back to the family who weren’t in a position to carry on as far as I had. I’m kicking myself at this missed opportunity because I felt an instant connection and can only hope it was mutual. You wore training shorts and I think a grey trainjng top, had only a water bottle and kept company by your lovely looking dog. You have brown hair, which was tied up in a high bun. This all seems crazy and such a long shot, but I have enough faith that this message may yet be seen by you. Blew my chance on 19/07/2018 @ 13:58
